Carl, Tricia, Drew, and I all join in thankfulness for you and your wonderful Old Edward’s team!!!  Both nights were absolutely lovely, and thankfully the cooperative weather Friday night (with rain at just the right moment!) and the gorgeous weather on Saturday helped to make a weekend that we all will remember for years to come. The rehearsal dinner meal was so nice and a great complement to the options for Saturday evening. The hit of the entrees was the seafood station but honestly, every bite of the appetizer, beef and chicken station, and dessert bar was delicious.  

We also feel so blessed that we were able to enjoy the breakfast with our guests and then the Farmhouse,  the grounds, and the Orchard given the lovely day. The luncheon was a hit and so nice to be on the property and just wander out for the pictures. And as always, our stay in the Inn helped us rest well for the busy weekend ahead. 

We will cherish the memories!! Thank you for your calm and steady guidance along with all the many details you helped us address.

Jessica, Our Old Edward’s experience has been nothing short of amazing and for that, I am extremely grateful to you and your staff. Our two-year journey with your team was quite fun. What a magical night

WOW! Old Edwards always blows me away but even our guests could not stop talking about how not only was the venue (The Farm at Old Edwards) STUNNING (even though we had to use the backup indoor space due to rain) the staff/service was INCREDIBLE! Cannot say enough about what a magical night it was. Old Edwards once again blew me away, I look forward to returning there for many many years to come.

I had zero worries

We selected Old Edwards for our destination wedding without first visiting and it was the best decision we made. OEI assigns you a designated planner from their team who works closely with you and your outside planner to bring your vision to life! They have EVERYTHING you could need - vendor lists, timelines, etc. and they can help shepherd you through the process. These people are EXPERTS - it is clear that they are not only professional, but they also care a lot about their couples. Through the planning process to the day of, we were so thankful to have these personal touches. On the day of, the OEI team executed everything perfectly - I had zero worries because I knew they were overseeing it all. The venues are beautiful, the food is absolutely amazing (so many people said the best of any wedding), the staff is attentive and kind, and they think of everything! As the couple, they make you feel like royalty throughout the process. I would recommend working with Gabby, if she is available! I would also recommend taking time to do a walkthrough in person before deciding on the little details, like rentals. This place is amazing, take every chance you can to spend time there!

Dear Gabby, we want to take this opportunity to thank you and the Old Edwards Inn Hospitality Group for creating the perfect wedding experience for our daughter, Jessica, and her fiancé, now husband Bruce.

Throughout the entire wedding planning process, from meeting with you, Chef Chris and Chef Daniel, and including your discerning sommelier - the OEI team created for us the most delicious culinary dining experience. Additionally, regarding the impeccable service before, during and after our event, and the beautiful lodging accommodations, our friends and family were treated to the celebration of a lifetime.

The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was superlative. From the bacon-wrapped quail to the southern seafood station, our guests were dazzled by your culinary artists preparing sautéed scallops and exactly carving perfectly grilled bone-in ribeye. Additionally, at the reception, our friends and family remarked that their every need was immediately attended to. The bartenders, food servers and food preparation specialists took care of our guests with the utmost responsiveness and care.

The lodging accommodations at The Inn, 200 Main and Fairview House were beautifully decorated and well-appointed. Needless to say, the farmhouse at The Farm served as the absolutely perfect spot for the bride and her bridesmaids to gather, reminisce and get ready for the big event - the salon was awesome!

In conclusion, words cannot express how grateful we are for such wonderful service. Jessica's wedding day, in our minds, was positively perfect and Gary and I can't thank you enough for helping us provide the most special celebration for our daughter's nuptials. We will continue to rave about the wedding experience at Old Edwards Inn, and we hope to one day hold another event at The Farm at OEI.

We are still on cloud nine

from our magical weekend in Highlands. Elizabeth and Cole are still honeymooning in Thailand and having the adventure of a lifetime after having a wedding for the books. We have received so many compliments from our guests regarding the food, the accommodations, and the beautiful setting. I am so glad we chose Old Edwards. I know we had a rain delay, but really everything was flawless, or at least it appeared that way! Thank you for all of your hard work for the past year. My compliments to the entire staff and especially Chef Chris! Amazing job!

Magical!

We planned a small winter wedding at The Barn, and it exceeded our expectations. Every detail was attended to, the food was excellent, and the events team was phenomenal. Also, I didn't have to worry about hiring a bunch of vendors other than the photographer, band, and florist. OEI took care of all the equipment, tables/chairs, etc....they even have a pastry chef that did our cake. If I could do it all over again, I wouldn't change a thing!

Old Edwards Inn is simply the best

location, staff, and experience for the bride, groom, and guests. The town is quaint and the property is enchanting and feels like a true getaway as you make the picturesque trek up the mountain to the property. The staff was top notch and the food will have your guests salivating for months after. Everything was beyond perfect for our big day. We can't wait to return for another trip!

First of all I want to commend your staff for all of your hard work. Everyone from the servers to the grounds crew to the delivery people were wonderful.

Sarah Brown was exceptional and seemed very genuine and caring to make the wedding extraordinary. All of our friends have commented that it was one of the best weddings to which they’ve ever been. I have to say I think it was too.

Once again you guys gave us her dream wedding and the whole day was so special. I know how hard you must work and I just wanted to personally thank you and your staff for all of the hard work and for making it such a joyous beautiful day.

AMAZING wedding experience

Our daughter's wedding venue was The Farm at Old Edwards, and it is absolutely breathtaking! Old Edwards knows what they're doing and they do it extremely well. Sophie, the Catering and Events Manager, worked with us throughout the planning process to ensure that no detail was missed. She was always responsive and accommodating, and she provided all the information we needed to make decisions regarding wedding and reception setup, scheduling, food and beverage, etc. Her experience and expertise were invaluable to us. She and all of the staff were so easy to work with. And Chef Huerta provided an AMAZING spread throughout the evening. We had numerous guests tell us afterward that the food was the best they had ever had at a wedding, and that the entire staff that evening was quite impressive. And we agree! We have nothing but positive things to say about the entire experience. It was a perfect weekend!

Something they will never forget

First of all and most importantly, I want to thank Rina, Melissa, and Vicki so much for putting together an incredible engagement weekend for Shane and Sydney with not much notice. This is going to be something that they will NEVER forget and will cherish for the rest of their lives. To top it all, they will even be able to spend all of their anniversary weekends together at Old Edward’s Inn!

The most incredible experience

We had our wedding here this past August and had the most incredible experience. Gabby Stone was our main point of contact and she was one of the the most professional, consistent and reliable people we worked with throughout the entire process. If we had a question or needed anything, Gabby always had an honest answer and was also a joy to work with. One thing that is sad about planning a wedding, is all of the communication with the people you grow to know and love stops, but I know we will see Gabby at some point in the future! Love Old Edwards and would definitely recommend this venue!

My husband and I absolutely love Highlands, NC, and the Old Edwards Inn event planners. This place holds such a special place in our hearts and since it is where Jake proposed last year, we knew it was a place we wanted to bring all of our friends and family to celebrate our wedding weekend. We first met with Gabby Stone at the Old Edwards Inn wedding and banquet planning center, she was (and continued to be) so accommodating and showed us every single venue Old Edwards has to offer. She spent hours with us during our first meeting and really cared about getting to know Jake and I as a couple. She helped us envision our wedding day and gave wonderful suggestions for wedding vendors that know Old Edwards extremely well. Gabby helped Jake and I make our wedding day unique and offered amazing suggestions. We continued to work with Gabby throughout the year of planning and she was very responsive, easy to talk to, and knows the venues and wedding process like the back of her hand which made emailing and calling her extremely helpful. Not only is Gabby professional, kind and warm but she is such an amazing person who really cares about each and every couple that plans their wedding with Old Edwards. Gabby made Jake and I feel so special throughout the entire planning process and made us feel like celebrities throughout our wedding weekend. Gabby has such positive energy and we greatly appreciated her awesome and up-beat personality throughout the weekend. She helped Jake and I plan the rehearsal dinner and wedding and when it came time for our wedding weekend it was better than we could have ever imagined. From the amazing food, flawless service, easy to work with transportation, and gorgeous venue to her assistance during the ceremony and reception, our wedding weekend was amazing. Gabby makes sure every detail is thought out and we were extremely impressed with her and the entire banquet team at Old Edwards Inn. Our wedding weekend was a fairytale and every one of our guests made it a point to make it known that the food, drinks, and service were all impeccable and that the weekend was a dream. Highlands is such a magical place and that is largely due to the Old Edwards Inn and Gabby Stone. Thank you, Gabby, from the bottom of our hearts, you are truly amazing!

Delightful & thoughtful service

Jessica, I wanted to thank you for arranging the Wine Garden last night for Hannah & Tyler's Tasting Dinner! It couldn't have been any more perfect.... the setting, the stunning meal, the delightful & thoughtful service.... honestly, what a perfect night, and the kids were absolutely beaming! Thank you for rearranging this, because it was so very enjoyable doing it both being earlier and outside. 

Also, appreciate the time yesterday. I know that meant a great deal to Hannah & Tyler to show the venue to his parents, and it was a perfect day for that. I think his parents are still in disbelief that we're able to do so many activities outside, with this beautiful weather!

Just blew me away

We got married on October 8th and it was the most perfect day of my life. OEI just blew me away. Gabby was my girl and she was also my rock!! She made sure I was heard and everything was the way I requested. A special shout out to Chef--he ROCKED the food. If I could have taken a suitcase full of the pumpkin ravioli, I would have...and not shared. My guests were just gushing over the service and timing of everything as well as how delicious it was. The venue itself was everything I dreamed it would be and the experience was flawless. OEI nailed it and gave me the best day of my life.

She knew the venue and vendors well and had some very good suggestions based on her experience. She was able to timely accommodate all of our requests or explain why she could not.

The night of the events she was present, attentive and very helpful. You are lucky to have an employee with such knowledge and excellent work ethic.

Can't say enough great things

about Old Edwards, Sarah and the whole OEI staff. They created the perfect weekend for us and our guests, including a welcome party, 5k + mimosa finish, Farmhouse brunch and wedding and reception. Sarah was the ultimate professional and so great to work with. The Chef was incredible and everyone continues to rave about the food and location. The Farm was the perfect place for our 100-person, black-tie wedding. The other vendors commented on how wonderful it was to work with the OEI staff as well. Such a beautiful place and the people made the experience just perfect.

Exceeding expectations

Melissa, I wanted to reach out and once again congratulate your team on a job well done!! In spite of freezing cold temperatures along with snow and ice, your team exceeds expectations on every level.

Emma and Hannah and their staff ran both events flawlessly. Emma constantly amazes me with her efficiency and her attitude. She is always smiling and happy and it is such a pleasure to be around her that it doesn't even seem like work.

Chef over-delivered on the food for both the Rehearsal Dinner and the Wedding Reception.  

Casey successfully wore many hats from shoveling ice at The Farm to making sure the bars at the Rehearsal Dinner and Welcome Party were set to perfection and no detail was missed.

Sarah went above and beyond and was so amazing to work with and made [everyone] feel welcome and taken care of their entire stay. 

Staffing shortages and supply chain issues have plagued many vendors I work with and they always use it as an excuse for missing the mark. Old Edwards' staff uses those same issues as a chance to rise above circumstance and exceed expectations on every level.

Please pass this along to Mr. Delany and the entire staff so they know that we all noticed their hard work and dedication to service.

Wow! Old Edwards does it again!

At every touchpoint, the OEI team impressed us. I worked with Kyle and Laura Wilkie in the planning process. Laura had great attention to detail, quick replies to emails/calls, and was a joy to communicate with leading up to the event. Kyle was my partner in creating innovative solutions to still have an exquisite event during COVID. We spent months communicating and pivoting when needed. There was laughter (and tears); He was a joy to work with and the events were absolutely splendid! On-site the Half-Mile Farm, Banquets, Culinary, and Housekeeping teams exceeded our every expectation! Laura, Chris, and Alister took such great care of my team and all the guests. The banquets team was first class- every single one of them deserves a special shoutout! That team was incredibly helpful, easy to work with, and (literally) weather the crazy storm like seasoned pros. Banquets at OEI is truly some of the best in the biz! Culinary hit it out of the park at every turn. Four events and breakfast every day and still every meal was just as delicious as the last!! Housekeeping managed the tight turns with a smile on their face and didn't miss a beat. Per usual- OEI provided a first-class guest experience and exceeded our every expectation at every possible team. BRAVO!!!! We can't wait to be back again soon!
