Two Unique Golf Courses
Experience The Game in the Blue Ridge Mountains
Guests have access to two outstanding and very unique courses, one at Old Edwards Club and the other at GlenCove. These sister courses may be adjacent to each other but are miles apart in style of play. Both are less than 8 miles from downtown Highlands, about a 15-minute drive. Tee times must be reserved in advance.
Old Edwards Club
Carved out of the Blue Ridge mountains, the Tom Jackson-designed course at Old Edwards Club offers one of the most beautiful and challenging golf games in Highlands, NC — a region known for spectacular courses. The front nine meanders serenely through a lush mountain valley, while the back nine takes you to the top of the highest ridges and alongside a towering granite cliff. Old Edwards Club includes a golf shop and a restaurant featuring casually elegant farm-to-table food from Chef Jacky Cabler and sweeping, open-air views of the course. Visitors can enjoy an outdoor heated pool, clay tennis courts, and a modern fitness center — accessible to club members and guests of Old Edwards Hospitality properties. Season Opens April 19, 2024
Named for the beautiful terrain between two mountain ridges, The Saddle at GlenCove is a lighted, 12-hole, par-3 walking course designed by Beau Welling. He designed it with a spirit of community in mind. The goal was to create a truly relaxed short course that would be enjoyable for all ages and skill levels, and comfortable for novices while still challenging for advanced players. With several classic golf features, such as Redan and Biarritz-style greens, the course allows players to focus on improving their short-game strategy. After a round, guests can enjoy the restaurant and bar before returning to town. Season Opens April 19, 2024
