Julia Tatum Banner of Delta Grind Grits and Half-Mile Farm Chef Jason Tardo will present a Saturday Shrimp & Grits experience with a special tasting and hosted Social Hour including complimentary hors d’oeuvres. Breakfast will feature Delta Grind's delicious products.

Saturday Events:

Breakfast from 8 - 10:30 am prepared by Half-Mile Farm Chef Jason Tardo, featuring Delta Grind’s delicious, 100% natural, stone ground grits with Julia on hand to mingle.
Grits Tasting and Presentation from 4 - 5 pm Julia will be sharing the story of Delta Grind Grits and assisting Half-Mile Farm Chef Jason Tardo in the preparation of classic shrimp & grits in the Woodland View Room.
Social Hour from 5 - 6 pm featuring grits from Julia’s Delta Grind, in Water Valley, Mississippi, with complimentary hors d’oeuvres and live music from 5 - 8 pm. Craft beverages are available from the J. Henry Farmhouse Tavern.

Born and raised in Oxford, Mississippi where generational roots run deep, Julia's love of all things reminiscent of "home" was sparked by visits to her grandmother's national landmark home, Ammadelle. From family meals and heirlooms shared, to architectural endeavors, her family left its mark on Oxford.

After receiving a Fine Arts degree with an emphasis in graphic design from the University of Mississippi in 2014, Julia went on to purchase Delta Grind, a family-owned business, in 2016. Her creative spirit finds immense satisfaction in watching something hand-crafted turn into a beautiful final product - no matter the medium.

Since taking over Delta Grind, Julia has successfully reshaped the business model and continues to grow the company with the construction of a new commercial facility. You will find Julia and her grits featured in magazines such as Garden & Gun and Southern Living. Today, Julia and her husband, Mac, reside in Lake Toxaway, North Carolina, with their two Great Danes, Grace and George, and Blue Heeler, Gus.
