Half-Mile Farm is thrilled to welcome author and designer, Kathryn Greeley, and editor and stylist, Lynn Terry, for a fireside-roundtable Hosted Event in October.

ABOUT KATHRYN GREELEY

Kathryn wears many hats as an interior designer, author, and speaker. She has been providing professional interior design services for elegant lifestyles in the Southeast for more than forty years, designing homes from the mountains to the beach, in the city and the country alike. Kathryn’s aesthetic is rooted in the English country house look, which has led to the development of her design philosophy, which is “collected, not decorated”. Kathryn’s first book, The Collected Tabletop debuted in 2011 and is now in its third printing. Her second book, The Collected Cottage, was released in the summer of 2022. Kathryn lives at Chestnut Cottage in Waynesville, NC with her husband Wells, and their second West Highland Terrier, Duncan MacDuff.

ABOUT LYNN TERRY

Lynn is a native of Jacksonville, Florida, and has lived and worked throughout the South. Her nearly three decades in business, publishing, and design come together in her job as an editor for Southern Home magazine. She enjoys showcasing beautiful homes and the talented designers and architects behind them. “Good design is timeless,” says Lynn, who has been with Southern Home since it started in the fall of 2015. “We feature homes where every detail has been carefully considered.” She has served as a vice president of administration at Hoffman Media in Birmingham for 11 years and has overseen a variety of special projects and events, including the construction of test kitchens for the company’s food publications. She started her career in healthcare financing, but as a devoted student of design, found her way into the field while living in Dallas 20 years ago. When she is not scouting houses and styling photo shoots, she spends her time antiquing, reading, and enjoying her family.

Events in the Woodland View Room:

• Social Hour Sunday and Monday evenings from 5-6 pm in the Woodland View room hosted by Kathryn Greeley and Lynn Terry.
• Monday and Tuesday Morning Breakfast from 8-10:30 am in the Woodland View room featuring recipes from Kathryn's book, The Collected Cottage. 
• Monday from 3-4:30 pm A lively and informative presentation in the Woodland View room with Kathryn and Lynn, who will be joined by Cherrie Tibbetts of Vivian Metzger Antiques in Cashiers.
