"Painting the world around us"
As a child, Theresa always had a passion for art through the process of creating something beautiful. To this day, she enjoys drawing inspiration from the subtle nuances in color in both still lives and landscapes. Working primarily in oils, Theresa uses plein air studies and photographic references to produce studio-quality pieces. These pieces reflect the harmony found in nature while simultaneously echoing a sense of peace and elegance. "I am overwhelmed with gratitude as I observe the majesty of God's creation," says Theresa. In this, she hopes to communicate the same sense of wonder and awe with her viewer. Theresa enjoys painting commissions for her clients and creating pieces to complement their homes. She graduated from the University of Georgia's Lamar Dodd School of Art with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. She is a member of the Oil Painters of America and the American Impressionist Society. Her paintings can be viewed year-round at Acorns Boutique in Highlands, NC.
