Michael Hofman graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a BFA in Industrial Design and then received a master's in Fine Arts from Ohio State University. He has called Asheville his home for the last 20 years. In 2007 he opened his studio, Hofman Studios, in the historic River Arts District, where he produces beautiful, lace impressed, handbill porcelain for the table and home.
